We are releasing the PTS Scores based on the most recent human rights reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the U.S. State Department. This year, Amnesty International again published reports covering countries across the globe. However, these annual reports had to be retrieved separately on Amnesty’s website (see: Country Reports) and were not part of the usual “Amnesty International Report: The State of the World’s Human Rights.” We nevertheless coded these reports published individually online and included the scores with this data release.
This year’s release includes:

153 PTS scores based on the 2020 Amnesty International Country Reports.

96 PTS scores based on the 2020 Human Rights Watch World Report 2020.

196 PTS scores based on the 2020 U.S. State Department Country Reports on Human Rights Practices.

200 PTS scores based on U.S. State Department reports that had not previously been coded.

The Data Table on the website and the PTS-App have been updated and also contain the latest scores.
